How to avoid gaining weight during your holidays

S o, you’ve been preparing your summer body for months and your holiday is finally upon you, but you’re worried how long your beach body will last. With all the temping and delicious food that all holidays offer, you’re worried that you may put on the weight that you have spent months trying to lose. Here are some tips to help.

You must find a balance between treating yourself and looking after yourself, as they are two very different things. You are surrounded by temptations of delicious food, and of course, eat what you like and treat yourself but don’t forget to take in some exercise. Even though you are on a holiday, it doesn't mean you should neglect your body completely. Even swimming some laps in the swimming pool or taking a dip in the sea can all be beneficial and very enjoyable.

Its not every day that you get a holiday so whilst you're away you might as well take in the scenery. Also, try something you haven't done before. Go rock climbing, surfing, skiing, anything that gets you out and about. Even taking a jog or going hiking - it is one thing going excising in a gym and another thing taking up exercise in a gorgeous new location whilst trying new things, meeting new people and visiting a new place. It is nice to have a break every now and then but don't take a break from looking after yourself, let the sunshine and the scene change be motivation for you, also just think about how great you'll look turning up to work after your holiday with a great tan and rocking body.

One great thing about a holiday is meeting new people. If you go abroad then you're open to meeting a largely diverse group of people from all different cultures and backgrounds. There is also a great sense of community in many holiday locations, bars, clubs, shops and gyms are all full of community spirt. Take this as an opportunity to not only make new friends and connections, but also as an opportunity to workout.
